Our Cross Country tarining

Our story about cross country training

This term Kauri team has to participate in cross country. Our training course starts down at Putikitiki in the middle of the field. The year 5’s and 6’s have to do the course 3 times, while the year 4’s go around Putikitiki twice and around the course once. The top 8 make it into interschool.

Danni-Leigh and I would quite like to make it into inter-school. Casey has been to inter-schools once before and now Danni-Leigh would also like to go there as well. To do this, she will be practicing lots by running around Putikitiki and trying to keep our selves fit.

While huffing and puffing down the course the end of the track is in the distance.

One day Maui was fishing on his boat with his magical hook. He threw his magical hook into the sea and waited. He waited and waited until his rope was pulling pulling fast. He got up and grabbed his rope he pulled and pulled whatever it was it was heavy. Then he pulled with all his might . Suddenly a gigantic stingray came up and now we call that stingray is a North island.
